How people use it

Questions
Is GastroFlick free?
Yes. Browsing openings and offers is free, the newsletter is free, and venues can list their opening and launch offer for free.
How does GastroFlick know about openings before they happen?
New food businesses in the UK must register with their local council at least 28 days before trading. GastroFlick checks those public registrations every morning, so a venue usually appears on the site before it opens its doors.
What is a soft launch?
A restaurant's trial run before or just after its official opening, often with a discount (commonly 50% off food) while the kitchen and team settle in. GastroFlick lists soft launches and other opening offers as soon as they're public.
Is GastroFlick the same as Soft Launch London?
No. They're separate. GastroFlick is an independent site that covers new openings in many UK cities, not only London, and starts tracking venues from their council registration.
How do restaurants get on GastroFlick?
Most new venues appear automatically once they register with their council. Owners can also submit their opening or offer, or claim their listing, on the Get featured page.
