About GastroFlick
GastroFlick is a free guide to the restaurants, bars, cafés and hotels opening across the UK, and the launch offers worth booking before everyone else hears about them.
What we do
New places open every week, and the best time to try them is often the first few weeks: soft launches with half-price food, opening menus, a free drink for the first guests. Those deals are scattered across Instagram stories and local press, and most people find out after they've ended.
We collect them in one place. Every morning we check new food business registrations in 16 UK cities, so new venues appear on GastroFlick weeks before they open. We give each one a page, and add its opening date, website and launch offer as soon as we have them.
Every Monday we send a short email for each city with the week's new openings and the offers worth booking. Get the newsletter. It's free, and you can unsubscribe in one click.
For restaurants, bars, cafés and hotels
Listing your opening and featuring your launch offer is free. Submit your opening, add an offer, or claim your listing to correct it. If you'd like help with search, maps, reviews or launch PR, see our launch services.
How it works
Where does GastroFlick's data come from?
Mainly the Food Standards Agency's public hygiene-rating register. Every new food business in the UK must register with its council at least 28 days before it starts trading, so new restaurants, bars and cafés appear there weeks before they open. We add Companies House records, news coverage and launches submitted directly by venues.
How often is it updated?
Every day. Our agents check every council in each city we cover each morning and publish anything new.
Where do the offers come from?
From the venues themselves (through our Get featured page or by replying to us), and from offers they've made public on their own website, their Instagram or in the press. We only list public offers: nothing that needs a code, a membership or a booking through someone else. Always check the terms with the venue when you book.
What does 'opening soon' mean?
The venue has registered with its council but hasn't had its first hygiene inspection yet, which usually means it's about to open or has only just opened. Once it's inspected, or a month has passed, it moves to 'recently opened'.
What does 'verified' mean?
The venue's owner or team has confirmed the listing with us and supplied details such as their opening date, website and any launch offer.
Which cities do you cover?
London, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, Bath, Leeds, Bristol, Brighton, Cardiff, Newcastle, Nottingham, Oxford, Cambridge, York.
How do I get my restaurant listed or corrected?
Submit it on our Get featured page. It's free, and you can also claim an existing listing to correct it or ask for it to be removed.
