What is a restaurant soft launch?
A soft launch is a restaurant's trial run before the official opening. The kitchen and staff practise on real diners, and in return many places offer a discount, often 50% off food, or a shorter menu at a lower price.
How do I find soft launches in Brighton?
This page lists places in Brighton that have registered with the council but have not yet had their first food hygiene inspection, which is the window when most soft launches happen. Soft launch deals sell out fast, so the Brighton newsletter sends new ones every Monday.
How do I book a soft launch deal?
Each offer says how to book. Most soft launch tables go through the restaurant's own website or Instagram, often with a limited number of discounted covers per night.
